Digital printing and variable data Inspection Sentinel is an advanced quality control system optimized to inspect digital printing and variable data. Sentinel checks the print quality thanks to special verification functionalities and it controls alphanumeric codes, data-matrix and barcode comparing the values with an external database. It can be used for the inspection of documents, bills, lotteries, tickets and labels with variable data. Linear Barcodes Decoding, readability, contrast, contents comparison with a database, ANSI grading. Datamatrix checks Decoding, readability, contrast, contents comparison with a database. OCR/OCV Decoding/Optical character verification, readability, contrast, contents comparison with a database, positioning. Font auto scaling, teaching task to enable decode of user defined fonts. Line-scan camera configurations Thanks to high resolution line scan cameras Sentinel can fully scan and acquire all web width in order to analyze the entire page width and length. Different system configurations - up to four cameras - guarantee an accurate control at a very high speed even on large web width up to 50 inches. A configuration with double camera is available for the front/back side inspection (duplex system configuration).
